Employment

Indianapolis EMS believes that in order to best ensure the safety of our patients, community and employees, it is important that everyone receives the COVID-19 vaccine. We believe this duty applies to everyone within the Indianapolis EMS organization, no matter the individual’s job or day-to-day responsibilities. As a condition of employment, Indianapolis EMS requires that all team members receive various vaccinations, including influenza and COVID-19 vaccines, barring an approved exemption. While the COVID-19 vaccination is not required to begin employment, all team members are required to be fully vaccinated by September 20, 2021. New hires will be provided the opportunity to provide proof of previous vaccination, or will be able to receive the vaccine as part of their on-boarding process.
